90.55% of students declared pass, 8119 secure A1 grade


BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE) declared the results of class x annual examination 2022 on Wednesday. As many as 90.55% students passed the High School Certificate examination, which was conducted in offline mode after a gap of two years due to covid pandemic.

A total 5,26,818 students in 8925 schools had appeared the matriculation examination of whom 5,17,817 students passed the exam amidst the fear of third wave of Covid in April.

A total 1170 schools have made 100% resilts while three schools have did nil results.

Girls outshone boys as 2,60,970 girls passed with a pass percentage of 92.37% against 2,56,877 boys with a pass percentage of 88.77%.

“I want to congratulate all our teachers who have conducted hundred days of nonstop classroom teaching because of which the results has been outstanding,” said school and mass education minister Samir Ranjan Dash after releasing the results. “We may not need to follow the revised assessment scheme in the current academic session, the decision on which will be taken up later,” the minister added.

This year 8119 students passed in AI grade (above 90%) while 54,889 students passed in A2 grade(80-90%), as many as 1, 20, 312 passed in B1 grade (70-80%) while 1, 42, 599 students passed in B2 grade (above 60%).

BSE Odisha 10th Result Highlights

“Despite disruption in classroom studies the state government had decided to revise the evaluation process and adopted an innovative way of calculating marks. We are happy that students have accepted the new system,” said school and mass education secretary Bishnupada Sethi.

Jagatsinghpur district secured highest pass rate of 96.36% while Malkangiri district secured lowest pass rate of 83.03%.

Unsatisfied students can apply for rechecking of marks between July 11 to 25.

In the State Open School 79.78% students have passed the exam while in Madhyama exam 80.06% students have passed.
