Apple App Store Awards 2022 Announced Check Winning Apps Games BeReal


Apple on Tuesday announced the winners of the 2022 App Store Awards. This year’s App Store Awards winners include 16 apps and games. According to the iPhone maker, this year’s winners represent a diverse community of developers from around the world whose apps and games were selected by the global App Store editorial team. This year’s App Store Award for the iPhone app of the year went to French social media app BeReal.

Launched in 2008, the Apple App Store is currently home to 1.8 million apps. It helped $643 billion in billings and sales during 2020, Apple has said.

Other App Store awards were given to GoodNotes 5, from Time Base Technology Limited for iPad app of the year while Mac app of the year went to MacFamilyTree 10, from Synium Software GmbH. Apple TV app of the year went toViX, from TelevisaUnivision Interactive, Inc. while Apple Watch app of the Year went to Gentler Streak, from Gentler Stories LLC.

“This year’s App Store Award winners reimagined our experiences with apps that delivered fresh, thoughtful, and genuine perspectives,” Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, said in a statement.

“From self-taught solo creators to international teams spanning the globe, these entrepreneurs are making a meaningful impact, and represent the ways in which apps and games influence our communities and lives,” Cook added.

In terms of gaming, Apex Legends Mobile was bagged the top position as the iPhone game of the year while Moncage was the top favourite among the iPad users and Inscryption became the top Mac game for 2022. El Hijo on Apple TV was preferred the most and Wylde Flowers got the Apple Arcade game of the year award. League of Legends Esports Manager became the China Game for thus year.

Five Cultural Impact winners that have made a lasting impact on people’s lives and influenced culture have also been selected by Apple’s App Store editors, according to the press statement. Five Cultural Impact winners include How We Feel, Dot’s Home, Locket Widget, Waterllama, and Inua- A Story in Ice and Time.
