Asia’s expo on education ‘Didac India’ from Sep 21- 23


Bengaluru: The 12th edition of Didac India, Asia’s expo showcasing state-of-the-art solutions for education and skills sectors will be held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Sep 21 to 23, announced the Higher Education Minister Dr Ashwath Narayan on Tuesday.
“The 12th edition of Didac India has a lot of innovative solutions for the education industry which faced many challenges during the pandemic,” he said, adding that this expo is an exclusive event for educationists, teachers, managements of schools, colleges and universities and entry is free.
“Karnataka is happy to be hosting the Asian Summit on Education and Skills. I recently attended an event by the Education World Forum in London and am glad that Bengaluru has an opportunity to host an international event on education. I am sure the summit will debate key challenges and opportunities of the sector and provide inputs for policy making,” Dr Ashwath Narayan said.
He was talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of the 7th Asian Summit on Education and Skills that is being simultaneously, on September 20 and 21. The summit has Education ministers and ministerial delegations from 15 countries such as the UK, Brazil, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, etc. and education ministers from over 10 Indian states.
Didac India is organised by India Didactics Association (IDA), the only industry body for education and skill sector in India, and is supported by the Union Ministry of Education, NITI Aayog, and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Education World Forum, hosted by Department of Higher Education of Government of Karnataka and supported by AICTE and NCERT. The event usually takes place in Delhi and is held for the first time in Bengaluru.
It will have over 200 exhibitors, including Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung, HP, etc., will have about 4,000 products/services on display. The Expo will also have international pavilions from the UK, Germany, Australia, Canada, Singapore among others. The Expo will also feature exclusive international pavilions from the UK, Germany, Australia, Canada, Finland, Poland, Singapore among others.
Several workshops and conferences will also be held alongside the DIDAC India expo. The International Education and Skill Summit, Didac Alliance of International Schools conference, Early Learning conference, K-12 Education conference, IDA Connect workshop are some of them.
