Change of health varsity name is not proper: NTR’s daughter

Visakhapatnam: The BJP National Secretary and former CM NTR’s daughter Daggubati Purandeswari said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy should answer why he had changed the name of NTR Health University. It is not proper to change the name by Jagan who has been saying that he has enormous respect for NTR, she said.
Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, the former central minister said that though the names of schemes introduced by NTR may be changed most of the schemes are implemented to date. “NTR brought many reforms. He is a social doctor. Changing NTR’s name without any reason is considered as nothing but an insult to NTR?” she asked.
Purandeswari said that people are observing the conditions in the state. “We have interacted with a few industrialists and there is no healthy atmosphere for industrialists in the state. Rs. 2 lakh crore debts were put on the people by the government. SC and ST Sub-Plan funds were diverted and failed to create basic amenities for the investment. No contractor is coming forward to take up the work,” she said.
Purandeswari said that why CM Jagan is now chanting three capitals after accepting Amaravathi as capital earlier. She said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday celebrations are conducted from August 17 to October 2 and also many programs were taken up in the name of Save Pakwada.
The BJP state leader and former MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju criticized that it is not proper to change the names of schemes and institutions during a change of governments.
