The Delhi government announced several welfare schemes for construction workers in the national capital on Monday, including mobile health check-ups and creche facilities at construction sites.

The ‘Doctor on Wheels’ scheme will be launched to facilitate routine health check-ups. Meanwhile, mobile creches for children will be provided so that they can get better day-care facilities with modern services.

These two new schemes were announced by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia after chairing a meeting of the Delhi Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board on Monday.

Furthermore, during the meeting, a discussion was also held on revamping the website of its Construction Labour Welfare Board to provide better and easier access to beneficiaries through an informative and user-friendly website.
