Diwali Muhurat Trading 2022 Stock Markets To Remain Closed Today, Open For 1 Hour Muhurat Trading At 6.15 PM


Muhurat Trading Diwali 2022: On the occasion of Diwali, the stock markets will be closed today but will open for one hour from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm for the Muhurat trading session. National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) remain suspended during the scheduled trading times of 9:15 am to 3:30 pm on the occasion of the Diwali festival, however, the market opens for an hour for the customary one-hour special ‘Muhurat’ trading.

The stock market will not witness any action in the Equity Segment, Equity Derivative Segment and SLB Segment during its scheduled morning to evening timings. However, both the equity and commodity markets will open for the Muhurat trading session on Monday. The Muhurat trading 2022 timing has been announced from 6:15 PM to 7:15 PM.

The pre-open session will start at 6 pm and will go on till 6.08 pm

Trading in the Currency Derivatives Segment and Interest Rate Derivatives segment will also remain closed during usual hours, according to the list of stock market holidays. Similarly, trading in the Commodity Derivatives Segment will also remain closed during its scheduled morning and evening session. However, it will open for an hour for the Muhurat trading session from 6:15 PM to 7:15 PM.

This stock market will be closed for the second time in October. On October 5, trading at BSE and NSE was closed for the Dussehra festival. The stock market will again remain closed on October 26 for Diwali Balipratipada.

In 2022, there are 16 stock market holidays and after Diwali 2022, there will be two more stock market holidays falling on October 26 and November 8. On October 26, the stock market will be closed for Diwali Balipratipada while on November 8, the markets will remain shut on the occasion of the Gurunanak Jayanti celebration.
