Google Launches New Chromecast With Google TV In India: Price, Features And More


Google India has launched its all-new Chromecast with Google TV in the country, in a bid to give users entertainment choices and bring together leading local and global content into one convenient spot. With the Google TV experience, users can easily find movies, shows and more from their apps and subscriptions, all in one place.

Chromecast with Google TV has become available in India for Rs 6,399 on e-commerce site Flipkart and it will be coming soon to other retail outlets, the company said.

The new Chromecast with Google TV also features a voice remote that is easy to use and has new features. It has a dedicated Google Assistant button that can help users find something to watch, answer everyday questions like “how’s the weather?” or play their favourite artist on YouTube Music, all with their voice.

“With Google Assistant, people also get the option to control their smart home lights to set the mood. The new remote comes with dedicated buttons for popular streaming services, YouTube and Netflix, to give users instant access to the content they love, with no need to juggle multiple remotes, thanks to Google’s programmable TV controls for power, volume, and input,” the company said in a statement.

The new Chromecast with Google TV comes in a compact and thin design and is packed with the latest technology to give people an outstanding viewing experience. It neatly plugs into the TV’s HDMI port and tucks behind the screen. The new Chromecast provides crystal clear video streaming in up to 4K HDR at up to 60 frames per second. With Dolby Vision, the device offers extraordinary color, contrast, and brightness on the TV. It also supports HDMI pass-through of Dolby audio content.
