India Vs Australia 1st T20 PCA Names Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh Stands Mohali In Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Presence

India vs Australia 1st T20I: Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) on Tuesday named two of its pavilions at the IS Bindra International Stadium after Indian cricketing legends Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh, hours before India vs Australia 1st T20I in Mohali. Both are former Indian players, who hail from Punjab and have brought glory to the state with their heroics in international cricket during their playing days. Hence, PCA decided to felicitate local boys in the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

The famous terrace block of PCA stadium has been renamed after team India’s legendary off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who helped India win several games including the 2011 World Cup and the T20 World Cup. Harbhajan, popularly known as Bhajji, represented the national team in 103 Tests, and 236 ODIs. He has also played 28 T20Is and has taken 711 wickets in all three formats.

The North Pavilion of PCA stadium is named after Yuvraj Singh who was instrumental in helping India win the 2011 World Cup. The star all-rounder also played an important role in the 2007 T20 World Cup where India defeated Pakistan in the final match. Apart from these two big achievements, Yuvraj Singh played 40 Tests, 304 ODIs, and 58 T20 matches, scoring 11,778 runs in all three formats and also taking 148 wickets.

India vs Australia 1st T20I is being played at IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali on September 20. India vs Australia’s 2nd T20I match will be played in Nagpur on 23rd September. The same venue will host the third and final T20I in Hyderabad. After this, India will play three T20s and three ODIs against South Africa.
