India’s Squad For ODI Series Against West Indies Announced, Rohit Rested, Dhawan To Lead Team


New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced Indian cricket team’s 16-member ODI squad for an away assignment against West Indies, PTI reported. Senior opener Shikhar Dhawan has been named as the captain for IND vs WI ODI series, while all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will be part of the squad as Dhawan’s deputy. All-format regular captain Rohit Sharma and regular players like Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya have been rested. 3 ODIs and 5 T20 matches will be played between the two teams during this tour. 

India’s squad for three-match One-Day-International series against West Indies: Shikhar Dhawan (Captain), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill, Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan (wicket-keeper), Sanju Samson (wicket-keeper), Ravindra Jadeja (vice-captain)

Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Avesh Khan, Prasidh Krishna, Mohd Siraj, Arshdeep Singh

The ODI series between India and West Indies will start from July 22. The first ODI will be played on 22nd July, second on 24th July and third on 27th July. The ODI matches will be played at Queens Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad. The first T20 between India and West Indies will be played on 29 July and the last on 7 August.
