JEE Advanced 2022: Here’s the preparation tips and guidelines for candidates


JEE Advanced registration process date has been extended till today 12th August at 8 PM and exam date is coming soon, which is 28th August. To avoid any mistakes in the JEE Advanced exam, candidates need to make an effective study plan and prepare well in advance.
Candidates can go through the JEE Advanced exam pattern, solve previous year question papers, give mock tests, check video lectures by experts, study from NCERT books and much more.
JEE Advanced 2022 exam will be conducted on August 28 in online mode. The JEE Advanced question paper will be divided into two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each JEE Advanced paper will be of three hours duration. The JEE Advanced 2022 exam will consist of questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The JEE Advanced paper consists of a mixture of different types of questions. Multiple choice type questions with single correct answer or multiple correct answer.
Comprehension may be followed by two or more objective type questions with one or multiple correct answers. Matrix matching type queries can consist of two columns or even three columns. Integer type questions include a subjective type question in which the answer is an integer or can be asked correct to two decimal places.
Students are advised to be careful as there is negative marking in the paper. The preparation strategy should be made with effective time management and topic wise planning.
Preparation Tips for JEE Advanced 2022:

  • Candidates should study daily as per the plan by drafting a well planned schedule
  • Read and solve previous year question papers as it will help in understanding the type of questions and pattern of the exam
  • Students can also study from NCERT books, textbooks and watch YouTube video lectures by experts which are specially created for the JEE exam.
  • Even if you think that you have covered all the topics yet maintain consistency in learning and do it through revision
  • It is very important for the candidates to keep track of their mistakes, as this will help them to improve and prepare for the exam without any flaws.
  • Above all, get enough sleep and eat on time. Don’t overthink and let it affect your mental health and it will only make things worse.

Exam day guidelines for JEE Advanced 2022

  • It is mandatory for the candidates to reach the examination center before the last admission time mentioned in the admit card.
  • Applicants must also bring a valid photo identity card along with JEE Main session 2 admit card to the exam center.
  • The candidates must follow the COVID-19 guidelines before and during the exam.
  • Candidates should carry their own face mask, hand sanitizer and personal transparent water bottle.
  • Rough sheets and other writing material will be provided to the candidates at the exam center.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination before the end of the examination.
