Nikhat Zareen, Saweety Boora, Lovlina Borgohain Add To India’s Assured Medals Tally

Reigning World Boxing Champion Nikhat Zareen did no harm to her reputation and sealed her place in the semifinal of the Women’s World Boxing Championships in Delhi to assure India of another medal. Nikhat beat Thailand’s Chuthamat Raksat 5-2 in the quarterfinal of the 50 kg category to head into the semis.

Meanwhile, Saweety beat Belarus’ Viktoriya Kebikava 5-0 in her first bout but that proves enough for her to reach the final four. Neetu had earlier won by a Referee Stopped Contest against Japan’s Madoka Wada to assure India of its first medal.  And now even    Lovlina Borgohain has guaranteed the country of another medal.
