Odisha govt to hold first Edu Invest Conclave next year


BHUBANESWAR: The state government is planning to hold Odisha Edu Invest Conclave next year to attract investments in the education sector of the state. There is a tentative date to hold this conclave between November 21 and November 23 next year.
Recently, a meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra to discuss this matter. The state will hold this conclave for the first time at Bhubaneswar. Mohapatra confirmed that there is a plan to hold this conclave in the state.
Official sources said top universities and education groups of the country and abroad will take part in the conclave. Memorandums of understanding (MoUs) will be signed between state universities with the education groups or foreign universities for research collaboration and training.
Chief minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the conclave and many education ministers, foreign ambassadors, and representatives of universities will take part in the conclave. They will discuss many things including the latest skills, artificial intelligence in education, increasing employability and industry-ready human resources and challenges in the education sector.
The state government is planning to create some of the best universities in the country. The conclave will help the state’s plan in this regard. The state is holding Make In Odisha Conclave since 2016 to attract investment for the state. But the Edu Invest Conclave will especially focus on the education sector keeping the National Education Policy in mind.
