More than 90,000 people were in the stands who went wild after India’s Ravichandran Ashwin smashed the winning run on the last ball of the thrilling encounter. Virat Kohli was lifted on the shoulders by the skipper Rohit Sharma and each and everyone in the Indian dugout was over the moon.
Virat Kohli who was under the scanner for not being in the best of form in the recent past played a match-defining knock and scored 82 runs from 53 balls. He not only scored big, but he also lived up to the tag of being a “chase master”. In simple words, he did what he does best.
After the last run was scored Kohli was seen punching the ground in delight. He was well supported by the allrounder Hardik Pandya who scored 40 runs from 37 balls.
