Shah Rukh has already assured that John will be playing the antagonist in ‘Pathaan’ and their on-screen tussle is expected to be a high-octane clash. This is the first time they have teamed up for a film. The movie which also stars Deepika Padukone in the lead will be released in theatres on January 25.

In his post, Shah Rukh Khan wished happy birthday to John Abraham by launching his new look poster in Pathaan. In the new look, John sports a black high-neck T-shirt, leather jacket and matching trousers. His piercing gaze with a gun in hand will surely make all his fans excited. In the caption, SRK called John his off-screen buddy. Wishing him a happy birthday, the celebrated actor wrote, “On-screen foe, off-screen buddy… Happy Birthday dearest @thejohnabraham Watch our clash in theatres on 25th Jan in #Pathaan! Releasing in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu (sic).”
In ‘Pathaan’, Shah Rukh Khan is playing the titular role of a spy and John Abraham’s character is his nemesis. Speaking about John’s character in the film director Siddharth Anand had earlier revealed that “John Abraham being the main antagonist in ‘Pathaan’ he has always believed in the fact that the villain’s projection should be as big, if not bigger than that of the hero’s. Only when the villain is massive, can the tussle between them be spectacular. He also promised fans that it will be an extraordinary battle when SRK will face John’s super slick avatar.
