The Queen’s incredible journey as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother

The Queen adored her great-grandchildren. In a previous interview, Prince Harry had revealed how she used to give beautiful gifts to her great-grandkids.

Harry said: “Interestingly, my grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas and Meg said a waffle maker, she sent us a waffle maker for Archie… so breakfast now, Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix, in the waffle maker, flip it, out it comes, he loves it. Archie literally wakes up in the morning and says ‘waffle’.”

William had also previously paid tribute to the Queen as a great-grandmother and how she was fascinated with whatever the children were up to.

He said: “She’s always been extremely loving towards the children and I see that now with Charlotte and George, she’s very doting on the children, and likes to keep an eye on them, particularly Charlotte, she’s fascinated by what Charlotte gets up to.”
