‘This Is A No-Tension Relationship, Isme Siyappe Nahi Hain’

New Delhi: Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash are one of Television industry’s most favourite real-life couples. The two have been in a relationship since ‘Bigg Boss 15’ and have been going strong ever since. Recently, Karan, who last hosted the ‘Dance Deewane Juniors’, spoke with Bombay Times and opened up about his upcoming projects in professional life and a few things on the personal front.

For those unaware, Karan has most recently begun shooting for a fantasy show ‘Ishq Mein Ghayal’.

Speaking about his relationship with Tejasswi Prakash, Karan shared, “I am calm, happy aur bohot sukoon mein hoon abhi. Wohi important hota hai life mein. I am at peace right now because I know what I want. I have clarity. It wasn’t a mission and happened organically. It is a normal relationship with two people coming together and trying to be normal. Tejasswi and I are very different and it’s an imperfectly perfect love story. There are so many imperfections that it’s perfect (smiles).”

When asked about the credibility of relationships which blossom in the Bigg Boss house and the criticism around the same, Karan said that he has reached a stage where he does not care about such comments anymore. ” If somebody hates you, no matter how well you do in life, they will diss you. I can’t care about someone sitting somewhere behind a screen writing those nasty comments. They are not paying my bills.” He added.

When Karan was asked about his marriage plans to Tejasswi, he said, “When you are clear about things, these things don’t seem important. Jab ek relationship mein koi cheez lack karti hai tab aap tension lete hain inn baaton kee. There is an unspoken clarity between us that this is not something we should be worrying about. Our parents know each other. We are together throughout the day and away only when we are shooting. Usually, insaan pakk jaate hain itna time saath mein reh kar.”

“We continue to discover each other, have been through ups and downs in our relationship, but every time something unfavourable happens, we emerge stronger. So, these things don’t seem important kyunki pata hi hai. Considering that this relationship is ki jab jo hona hai ho kar hi rahega toh tension lena hi band kar do. This is a no-tension relationship. Iss relationship mein siyappe nahi hain.”

Karan Kundrra also spoke about his upcoming shoe ‘Ishq Mein Ghayal’. He shared that the character, Veer, which he plays in the show is one of the ‘most interesting and badass characters’ he has played in his career. “Also, I feel that the concept of positive, negative or grey doesn’t exist on TV anymore. Times have changed. Back in the day, a bad guy would do everything wrong without feeling sorry about it and an actor feared getting typecast. I don’t think that happens anymore.” Karan added in the same interview.
