Web Shows That Bring Home The Idea Of Feminism And Equality

New Delhi: Women’s Equality Day is commemorated on August 26, every year. The day is celebrated in honour of the adoption of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution, which gave women the right to vote. While International Women’s Day celebrated on March 8 is known to all, Women’s Equality Day is specifically celebrated for achieving universal suffrage.

It took many lifetimes for women to reach where they are in terms of equality, thanks to the consistent efforts of women across the generations. While they have come a long way, there is a lot more to achieve in order to achieve equality in the complete and truest sense.
