The process of cleaning and deveining starts by first rinsing the prawns undering running water.
Wash the prawns with cold water and check for foul smell.
Drain the excess water, then using a sharp knife cut the prawn head, and proceed to cut the sharp tail.
Remove the outer shell of the prawn with your hands. Take a clean knife, make a slit around the prawn curve and gently extract the greenish and black vein using the sides of the knife.
Then remove the prawn legs. Lastly, wash the prawns with cold water and a dash of salt. Wash it off nicely and keep it aside.
