When And Where To Watch Vijay Deverakonda Ananya Panday Film Liger Online


New Delhi: Sports Action movie ‘Liger’, starring Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, hit theatres on August 25. Vijay Deverakonda made his Bollywood debut with this film, which was released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam.

The Puri Jagannadh-helmed picture was widely recognised after its release. Almost a month after its first release, ‘Liger’ is now available to watch on Disney+ Hotstar for those who were unable to see it in cinemas. As of September 22 at midnight, the film was made accessible on the OTT platform in the four languages spoken in South India, with the Hindi version.

There are reports that Disney+ Hotstar paid a hefty amount of Rs 65 crore for the rights to the Vijay-Ananya film. Numerous media publications stated that Star Maa channel has purchased the satellite rights to air ‘Liger. 

Dharma Productions, run by Bollywood heavyweight Karan Johar, released the action-drama ‘Liger’. The film received lukewarm to negative reviews from reviewers and moviegoers alike. On its first day in theatres, the action film ‘Liger’ earned a global total of Rs 33.12 crore. 

Due to the film’s poor performance at the box office, it has been speculated that Deverakonda may pay back the film’s producers Rs 6 crore as compensation. There were also rumours that his follow-up project with Puri Jagannadh would be aborted.

In this film, a young man (played by Vijay Deverakonda) and his widowed mother (played by Ramya Krishnan) go from Telangana to Mumbai so that she may see her son compete in the national MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) championship. 

‘Arjun Reddy’ actor Vijay trained for MMA in Thailand to get into the role. Meanwhile, professionally, Vijay Deverakonda is busy with his next film, ‘Khushi’, which also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Rashi Khanna. 

Meanwhile, Ananya Panday is set to star with Ayushmann Khurrana in the sequel ‘Dream Girl 2’. She also just finished filming her scenes with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan.’
