Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya, who announced their separation on social media in a joint statement in October last year, have been vocal about their personal lives. Actor Naga Chaitanya, who was in Mumbai recently, interacted with Pinkvilla, where he spoke about his his equation with ex-wife Samantha. He told Pinkvilla, “We both came out and put our statements and we both have immense respect for each other. I always look up to what she is doing. And there will always be great respect for her. That’s about it. We said what we have too. Beyond that, it’s just people trying to fill up columns and there’s nothing else. I mean I’m bored of it. I have been through three releases and I’m still attached to it.”
Naga Chaitanya, who co-starred with Samantha Ruth Prabhu in films like Majili, Ye Maaya Chesave and Autonagar Surya, trended big time after he was asked to describe rumoured girlfriend Sobhita Dhulipala in an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan earlier this week. “I’m just gonna smile,” said Naga Chaitanya.
Meanwhile, when Samantha Ruth Prabhu appeared as a guest on Karan Johar’s talk show Koffee With Karan this season, she was asked during the show if she and Naga Chaitanya are amicable. To which she replied, “You mean if you put us both in a room, you’d have to hide sharp objects? Yes, as of now but it maybe sometime in the future.”
Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya got married in 2017. The stars announced their separation on social media in a joint statement in October last year.
